History

In 1994 Mr. Philipsen starts raising private funds. He is married to a Cambodian and has experienced the poor manner of living during a visit to his in-laws.

In 1995 starts the first project: a primary school named "Pendrecht" which is the suburb of Rotterdam where the first collections have been organised. Before his death the father-in-law of our founder was an architect in Cambodia and designed, planned and managed the construction of the schoolbuildings.

In 1996 the Foundation School Project Cambodia "Rotterdam" is registered at the Rotterdam chamber of commerce.

The financial support of children is handled by the Don Bosco Children Fund, an organisation of the Don Bosco Foundation of Cambodia.

The planning and coordination for the construction or repair of school buildings is carried out by local NGO's together with the community.
